That is a good question. Only reason I can think of is that they didn’t know what the symbol would be when they made the stadium and kept it as is or they can’t figure out how to do it…
Probably cuz their marketing department hasn’t decided on a good logo. Honestly, Carolina blue isn’t a good football color, especially if u accent it with silver and black. So you need a logo of a cat that doesn’t look gay, tough to do.
i think its because they might share the field with a college football or high school team or somethin so if there logo was in the middle of the field during a college football game it would be awkward
