I’m not a Panthers fan, but if everyone bagged on Cutler for one bad game, I would be pissed as hell.
You can’t judge players on one game, and that’s what I told everyone about McNabb, and look what happened there. He had the awful game against the Bengals, but has been amazing since.
Delhomme is a pretty good QB. I think they should look at a future soon though. He’s getting old.
I hear you, even as a Cowboys fan. Delhomme’s playoff meltdown reminds me of Tony Romo’s playoff flops the last two years as well. And there are Cowboys fans who want Romo gone, too.
Tell your friends this: without Jake Delhomme, the Panthers would not even have been in the playoffs. Remember when he was hurt last year? Carolina was 7-9.
Well, its really not one bad game its been the last few games they have just been lucky. and ur friends are just bashing him becasue of the way he played in the Cardinals game, he did have a pretty bad game and when you have a game like that, that just shows poor leadership
lolz, Im a panther fan, and I’m doing the bashing. I want him back next year, but He deserves to be bashed after that game he played Saturday. He’s still our QB, but he isn’t going to get a free pass….
Delhomme might, and should make the playoffs. They have lots of holes on defense, and if they can tighten up the mistakes by Delhomme, they should make the playoffs again.
I don’t think they will, but then again, you never know.
Once the pain of the loss lessens, they might not be as definite when it comes to Delhomme. As I said, he isn’t that bad. It can always be worse. The Panthers could have Michael Vick, or an almost 40 year old Garcia.
Carolina Panther fan who bashes Jake Delhomme should really check themselves. Yes, they should be bent that he picked the wrong day to have one of the worst games of his football life. That isn’t reason enough to get rid of him. Don’t these people remember how bad the Panthers were last year without them? Are these people that short on memory?
There is no guarantee that even if the Panthers beat the Cardinals that they were going to get past the NFC championship round or even win the Super Bowl with him. They reached the playoffs with Jake Delhomme as their quarterback. Without Jake Delhomme, the Panthers are back of the pack and watching playoffs. Be careful what you wish for Carolina fan. You just may get it.
Delhomme made some VERY poor decisions in that game. He was throwing into double coverage while other receivers were open. I never saw him under so much pressure that he had to dump the ball like he was doing. He looked like he lacked confidence. That doesn’t show me a QB that can win playoff games.
In response to Dallas Cowboys Fan, Tony Romo will never be all he is capable of if the Cowboys don’t start picking up blitzes late in the year. That includes linemen, backs and receivers. The reason the Cowboys have a late season meltdown is because other teams throw an all ot assault on Romo. It’s not his fault. Not entirely, anyway. Think about how the game plans would have bee different if Barber were 100% and Felix Jones were not hurt.
Who cares, he’s still overrated? Besides, unless you have game by game stats for Jake Delhomme’s entire career laid out it front of you than you don’t know for sure if he had only one bad game.
