How much money did David Carr sign for with the Carolina Panthers? I think he would have done a lot better with the Texans if they had an offensive line to protect him. Its not all his fault he was sacked so many times. Just look at his stats for last year his QB rating last year was 15th overall.

I believe it was a 2 year 6 million dollar contract with a 3 million dollar signing bonus. And you’re right about it not being his fault. Schaub is a lot slower than David Carr, he’ll be on his back alot this season. We’ll get to see if he’s as resiliant as Carr, say what you will about his playing ability but it takes one tough dude to get that hard and that many times and still get back up and be able to play.

about the Houston line… though they gave up 47 sacks, Rams and Bills gave up more – and yet their Qb’s, Bulger and Losman, did SO much better a job than Carr.
Face it, Carr is not going to ever meet his 2002 expectations.
btw, Carr was signed 2 years, $6.3 mil. with $3 mil. signing bonus.
It was a 3 year 7 million dollar contract with a 5 million dollar signing bonus. Plus it wasn’t ALL his fault but he is to blame for some of the obvious passes he should of got off.(Same for all the QB’s in the NFL.)
