I Have A Dream

…When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, “Free at last! free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!” Martin Luther King Jr.

Trying to explain the team’s losing streak!” The problem here is that we haven’t solved the problem. And its been an ongoing problem.”

Fantasy Football RB’s who will have a more productive Season?

Friday, October 30th, 2009

The Carolina Panthers have two solid RB’s and either can start. They will most likely be splitting carries the first few games of the season, but who do you think will have a more productive season, Deshaun Foster or DeAngelo Williams? Why?

Carolina VS Kansas City week 5?

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Who will win?

I know the Chiefs are coming off a big win over the Bronco’s, but the Bronco’s pretty much just underestimated them.

Carolina wont! Panthers have been shutting down all the big name back so far this year…and by all means that’s all Kansas City has…is Larry Johnson.

We shut him down and win a BIG one!

My pick is Carolina 35-12

Oh, and lets hope Gross isn;t out for too long. We NEED him back!

Super Bowl Xliii Closer and Closer

Monday, October 26th, 2009
Following a season with many teams surprising and some of the favorites disappointing, the great emotion that produces the NFL‘s Super Bowl is getting closer and closer. On this XLIII edition the protagonists of the Divisional Round playoffs made clear their wishes of gaining the trophy.

Baltimore vs. Tennessee

From this encounter the Ravens left victorious with a 13-10 over the Titans, what gives them the opportunity to move forward to the next round in which will be defined the champions of every conference, in Baltimore Ravens’ case the American Conference.

The huge rivalry between these two teams was palpable during the whole game. The strong attacks, as well as a powerful offensive and the constant confrontations between the players was part of the picture, in which we also saw Baltimore obtain the victory after taking advantage on the continuous mistakes its rival committed. With a defiant defense, the Ravens imposed to the men from Tennessee, who missed good chances to score. From Baltimore it was perceived a similar game strategy from the one seen in the way to their last visit to a Super Bowl (2000), when they were crowned champions.

Arizona vs. Carolina

The Cardinals managed to break their bad streak by beating 33-13 the Carolina Panthers; if they finished triumphant the round, Arizona will marked in their history books the first time in a Super Bowl game.

Arizona arrived to this phase of the championship as a team with really small possibilities of reaching a victory due to its deficient record, in which more losses are stored than successes; but the Cardinals proved the opposite by imposing the Panthers that appeared inferiors before their assaults. It was crushing victory that allowed Arizona to rupture the schemes and demonstrated that they have the capacity to survive from some pretty bad times. For now the only thing expected is that the Cardinals maintain the same game level for their coming encounter as locals where will wrestle against the Eagles for the National Conference championship.

Philadelphia vs. NY Giants

On this confrontation the NY Giants could not show they have the makings of a reigning champion after being eliminated by Philadelphia’s Eagles with a 23-11; this triumph sends the winners straight to the battle for the NFC title against Arizona, with the possibility of preparing better during the week and focus on the objective of winning the Super Bowl. On the other hand, the Giants with every chance lost, all left is to review their performance to identify the errors during the season to never repeat them again.

San Diego vs. Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Steelers, who defeated the San Diego Chargers 35-24, keeping the control on the ball during most of the game, which helped them to enforce before a team that characterized for the lack of order and control. Without a doubt part of this conquest happened due to improve in the Steelers offensive that at the beginning of the postseason wasn’t looking so strong.

Now Pittsburgh will have to face Baltimore Ravens for the American Conference title, and surely thinking ahead on the highest title of the American football. This conference match will definitively be very intense and loaded of thrilling moments, where the rough physical clashes will be the main spectacle.

What NFL team has the best jerseys?

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

I personally think the Carolina Panthers have the best uniforms, but i admit that is bi-est because i am a hardcore Panthers fan.

I also like the falcons jerseys,TEXANS RED and the Ravens all black jerseys!

ANYONE WHO SAYS THE BEARS OR 49ERS JERSEYS WILL HAVE NO CHANCE AT BEST ANSWER!

When will a team from the NFC South not make it to the NFC Championship Game? Could it happen in 2007?

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Lets take a look at the successes or failures the NFC South has had in the playoffs:

2006-07 NFC Championship Game:
Chicago Bears 39, New Orleans Saints 14

2005-06 NFC Championship Game:
Seattle Seahawks 34, Carolina Panthers 14

2004-05 NFC Championship Game:
Philadelphia Eagles 27, Atlanta Falcons 10

2003-04 NFC Championship Game:
Carolina Panthers 14, Philadelphia Eagles 3

2002-03 NFC Championship Game:
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27, Philadelphia Eagles 10

It seems in line with the Madden Curse- so it seems that there are two things you can predict at the start of every football season, and be right at the end. They are:

The Madden Cover player will get injured, his team will NOT play as good as they did in the prior year, and that usually, the Saints, Buccaneers, Falcons, or Panthers will be playing in January with a Superbowl trip at stake. With Reggie Bush and Drew Brees playing with the Saints now, I don’t see that streak ending anytime soon. Let me know what you think.

OK honestly Are the cowboys that great?

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

I mean look at the teams that have the same record.

Atlanta Falcons
Tampa Bay Bucs
carolina Panthers
washington redskins
Denver Broncos
arizona cardinals
I mean sure the cowboys have a lot of talent but dont you think that with there skill and talent they should be undefeated not the giants I think the cowboys are the most overrated team in the NFL.

Who is the best team in the NFC?

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

I say it is the Carolina Panthers.

Do you think this is a good costume idea? What would you add?

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

I am thinking of dressing as a Carolina Panther, wearing a Panthers jersey, black pants and shoes, cat ears and a cat tail, and painting on a cat face. Like a play-on-words! Is this a good idea? Would you add anything? Will people understand what I am going for?

Thanks and 10 points to the best answer!
I live close to Charlotte, too! Woot Carolina people!

Sports Radio 620 The Bull Listener Prepared For Consequences Of Bet With On-Air Host Bomani Jones

Friday, October 16th, 2009
Raleigh, N.C. – March 6, 2009 – As the ACC regular season comes to an end Sunday afternoon, Monday morning could find avid 620 The Bull listener “Joe in Raleigh” standing outside the McClatchey Broadcasting studios building on the corner of Six Forks and Northbrook Road in Raleigh with Carolina blue hair and a sign declaring his “love” for the University North Carolina Tar Heels.

Joe, a die-hard Duke fan, decided in January to raise the stakes of the ACC regular season by placing a wager with 620 The Bull host Bomani Jones.  The wager would force Joe to dye his hair Tar Heel Blue if Duke did not win the ACC regular season title.  On the other hand, a Duke title would allow Joe priority over other callers when he dials into Jones’ Three Hour Lunch Break program weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Heading into their highly anticipated match-up Sunday at 4 p.m. on CBS, Carolina currently occupies at least a share of the ACC regular season title.  A Duke win would force a tie-breaker based on how the rest of the league pans out.

”Joe’s passionate and entertaining phone calls, nearly all of which pay homage to Duke or Coach K, are a staple of the show,” Jones said.  “His willingness to fulfill his end of the deal shows what a great sport he is and the type of passionate fan base 620 The Bull has.”
